《The Mummers' Dance 艺者之舞》最先让人注意到的是风笛,隐约的,延绵在背景里,好象是从记忆里缓缓而来的风。而鼓声接踵而至,各种各样的鼓被统一成一个印象,不徐不缓,不紧不慢,却永不停息,推着人跟随它前进舞蹈。整首曲子由这两种乐器形成主要旋律,而偶尔出现的小提琴与吉它,好象是突然跳
出人群中的独舞,又象是灵机一动错出的一个花步。而 Loreena McKennitt 罗琳娜·麦肯尼特 的吟唱,把它们织成一个网,将聆听者着笼罩。


The Mummers’Dance描写的是春季Stratford 的一个夜晚,婆娑的树叶衬托蓝色的天空,随着风而摇摆的树枝条,好像是一群人在默默的不停的舞蹈。McKennitt的嗓音显得有点忧伤,忧伤背面则让人感觉到无限的生机,让人期待,并在期待中沉醉陶醉。《The Mummers’Dance》的歌词灵感来自于Loreena 自己1985年的一段读书笔记。歌曲中大量运用了风笛、手鼓、小提琴、竖琴等乐器,为歌曲增色不少,可是该首歌曲又不太像传统的Celtic 风格,或许这也正是她的魅力所在吧。Loreena McKennitt,一位凯尔特风格的歌手,可是令人惊奇的是,她不是爱尔兰或者苏格兰人,她是加拿大人,不过从她的名字可以知道,她也是具有爱尔兰血统的。(Mc, O\'什么的姓氏,都是爱尔兰特有的,而跟说唱MC的意思没关系)她是不是混血儿我不得而知,但她的音乐绝对混血,并非纯净的爱尔兰风味,这也使得她的音乐中多了一些动态的元素。同时她也是一位讲故事的高手,将古诗歌与传统音乐巧妙的相结合到了一起,将古老的故事与传说用她那如浮在空中的轻羽般轻灵缥缈的声音讲述,伴着迷人的音乐让你的耳朵与心灵共享。
