According to reports from China Youth Daily, Tong Zeng the chairman of the Chinese Association for Claiming Compensation from Japan -- has been nominated for this year's Nobel Peace Prize. However, he's not the only one on the nomination ticket: Onodera Toshitakam, a Japanese attorney who has been defending the interests of Chinese war victims in the Second World War, is with him.
They have been nominated for their endless work in trying to protect the lawful rights and interests of Chinese war victims, and their efforts to urge the Japanese government to respect historical facts and improve relations between China and Japan. The winner of the prize will be revealed in October.
