The annual Boao Forum for Asia comes amid widespread concern over the global economy and protectionism. President Xi Jinping issued a welcome note for the attendees at the high-level conference taking place in south China's Hainan Province.
The Chinese president's message called for their wisdom on how developed and developing economies should cope with globalization. Also, Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony on Saturday morning.
