所谓「天之骄子」指的就是西恩蓝侬(Sean Lennon)这类人物，父亲是独立自披头四的摇滚传奇约翰蓝侬(John Lennon)，母亲是目前依然活跃於艺文界的前卫艺术家小野洋子(Yoko Ono)，西恩蓝侬自小接触的尽是一流顶尖的艺术精英。早在1984年他就曾在向小野洋子致敬的合辑中献唱，1991年他与母亲以及Lenny Kravitz，共同筹划反对美国波湾战争的一连串活动，并出现在Lenny Kravitz的专辑《Mama Said》中。他创建的三人乐队IMA，参与母亲1995年专辑《Rising》的录制，并担任巡演暖场乐队，这段期间他结识日本籍纽约乐队Cibo Matto，出任该乐队巡回演出的贝斯手，并进一步与键盘手Yuka Honda正式交往。当Beastie Boy的Adam Yauch听过他个人的作品，便力邀他在独立厂牌Grand Royal下发行首张作品。1998年发行的首张专辑《Into the Sun》优美动听，折衷多元的创作风格证明他传承了父母的音乐天份。相距八年后他终於推出最新创作专辑《Friendly Fire》。
这八年的时间他在乐坛依旧十分活跃，分别与Deltron 3030、Handsome Boy Modeling School、Thurston Moore、John Zorn、Ryan Adams、The Boredoms与Ben Lee等人合作。此张全新创作专辑《Friendly Fire》，则充份展现他绝佳的人缘与深厚的人脉，Paul Simon的儿子Harper Simon担任吉他手、Yuka Honda负责钢琴与键盘、Matt Chamberlin (Pear Jam、Tori Amos)出任鼓手，其它助阵的音乐人还包括极具声望的制作人/音控师Tom Biller (Fiona Apple、Kanye West)，更有多位好友客串合音与乐器演奏。航空进口限量盘超值加赠一张DVD，Michele Civetta针对专辑内每首歌曲执导的超大手笔影片，除了西恩蓝侬本人尚可见到他多位朋友入镜，当中甚至包括琳赛萝涵(Lindsay Lohan) 与曾演出「万恶城市」、「飙风再起」的超个性女模戴文青木(Devon Aoki)。你可以选择闭上眼睛用心聆听西恩蓝侬闲逸多情的音乐，或是张大眼睛欣赏他透过影像传达的疯狂华丽。
