早期自己创作了不少歌曲，也曾为知名歌手Peter Cetera在2001年发行的专辑“Another Perfect World”中创作了两首歌曲:"Just Like Love"和"Rule The World".之后Mills凭借出色的创作才华已制作人的身份加入了老牌歌星Paul McCartney旗下的发行公司"MPL",接着又幸运地获得了"On My Own"艾美奖单曲的提名。一系列成功的经历让Mills更加坚定方向，2003年大牌唱片公司“Atlantic Records”发行了她的首张大碟“Different For Girls”，专辑主要已Pop Rock为主旋律，Mills的非凡制作天赋得以在此充分发展。[由kcjojo搜集编译转载注明]两部热门影片"What A Girl Wants"和"White Oleander“发行方也邀请到她为其制作原声歌曲。目前Mills仍在筹备自己的下一张专辑。
