Kerys: I've lived in Thailand, I've lived in Spain, and France, and I now live in Japan.
Todd: OK. What's your favorite country so far?
Kerys: I love Thailand.
Todd: Yeah, Thailand's great.
Kerys: Yep!
Todd: What did you like about Thailand?
Kerys: I love the fact that people smile all the time.
Todd: That's true. The land of smiles.
Kerys: Yep.

We use the phrase 'not anymore' when something used to be true in the past but it isn't now. Notice the following:
We aren't together now, not anymore.

Thailand is the land of smiles, because people smile all the time.
This is a phrase is used to describe Thailand. It means the country where everyone smiles. Notice the following:
I really felt like Cambodia was the land of smiles.
