 during the civil war ,many people suffered from starvation,and this kind of luxery were hard to find,but customers were happy to flirt 1 a good time,  ,this is how Marien made the big bucks 2, the sales ,things surounding the sales were also countributing the financial success of the house, ,but originaly   is now becoming  the pretty standard operating practice in brothels and street cops for that matter,and marien hall was the  first of all for  playing this ,very innovative 3 practice, marien was a very stupid business woman who amass 4 a big fortune during her life time  ,what she made ,what she amass  was a bit of today  worth you know the millions,marien hall ripped in the  money at a time when a same citrus made one dollar a week,and women even had no right to vote,she was a woman runing  that business , and that was incredible for her to be able to  achieve that kind of notoriety and reputation and  ,in the midst of civil war, marien hall brothel was like the  oasis , people could come in to and  celebrate great ,fine ,beatiful things in life, in was visit by any body who was anybody coming to DC,today i think hall serve great serivce in a moment  people relly really needed ,and legions of soldiers never forgot the solace 5 the brothel brought to them during  the bloodist civil war on us soil.
