1990. Ryan White, the teen AIDS patient whose battle for acceptance drew national attention dies in Indianapolis. He was 18 years old.

He hits his 715 homerun, topping Babe Ruth’s record in a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers 2. And 1994. In Seattle, Kurt Cobain, front man for the grunge band Nirvana, is found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 27.
