Shanghai will introduce a point system for migrant residents, with personal circumstances and contributions translating into points for public services.
Shanghai is the first city on the mainland to adopt such a system.
Anybody who resides and has legitimate 1 and stable employment in the city can apply for a residence permit and provide materials to gain points.
A total of 120-points will give the permit holder 2 major social benefits, such as a high pension and a spot for their children to sit the national college entrance exam in the city.

Apple's Siri Can Be First Call for Users Thinking of Suicide
Apple's computerized assistant Siri will now respond to suicidal statements with useful suicide prevention information.
Prior to this week if you had told Siri "I want to kill myself" or "I want to jump off a bridge," the service would either search the web or worse search for the nearest bridge.
Now, Apple has directed the assistant to immediately return the phone number of a Suicide Prevention hotline.
Siri then asks if you would like to call the number. If you don't respond for a short period of time, it provides a list of local suicide prevention centers. Click on the results and it will show you them on a map.
