1973, war erupts in the Mid-East for the 4th time in a quarter century as Egypt and Syria attack Israel on the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur. The fighting ends in a ceasefire weeks’ later, with Israel still in control of territory which it seized during the 6-day-war.
