Lesson 29 The weight-lifter
Last week
father took the children
to a circus.
First they saw a weight-lifter.
He was very strong.
He picked up a heavy weight.
He was strong enough to lift it
above his head.
Then a clown 1 appeared.
He tried to lift the weight,
but he couldn’t!
He was too weak to lift it!
Suddenly, the clown picked up
another big weight.
He lift it easily.
But the clown’s weight
was only a bar
and two balloons!
