Lesson 23 Billy’s favourite subject
Mrs Hart: You were absent
from school yesterday, Sandy.
Where were you?
Sandy: I couldn’t come to school, Mrs Hart.
My mother took me to the doctor’s.
Mrs Hart: Why, Sandy?
Sandy: I hurt my foot yesterday
and I wasn’t able to walk properly.
Billy: Wasn’t Sandy lucky!
He missed Maths and History.
Sandy: Maths is my favourite subject.
Mrs Hart: Which is your favourite subject, Billy?
Billy: Football, Mrs Hart.
Mrs Hart: Football isn’t a subject, Billy.
It’s a game.
Billy: That’s why I like it, Mrs Hart!
