Secret Garden可以说是当今最受欢迎的New Age音乐家之一了。1994年，乐团的两位灵魂人物Rolf Lovland和Fionnuala Sherry在欧洲歌唱大赛中初次相遇，那时Lovland已是挪威知名的词曲作家。1995年，两人合作的处女作<Nocturne>即以无与伦比的魅力征服了全体评委，一举夺得欧洲歌唱大赛冠军，打破了纯乐曲从不曾夺冠的历史。由1996年至2002年发行的四张专辑，水准有口皆碑，个个都卖个满堂红，更获得数国的多项音乐大奖。仅头两张专辑便已于60多个国家共发行160万张！由此足见他们的巨大成功。98年的世界巡回音乐会更是将他们的事业推上巅峰，声名之盛足以媲美Yanni等同行前辈了。最可喜的是，他们从不曾因成功而沾沾自喜，每张专辑都可明显感觉出两人在音乐领域上的新尝试。虽然音乐风格的改变未必人人都接受(因为不少人还是偏爱<Nocturne>那种宁静悠远的风格)，但是这种锐意进取的精神是我非常钦佩的。
