An attorney for Miers has informed the House Judiciary Committee Chairman that Miers will not show up Thursday. 4. Packing some snacks, a GPS device and more than 100 helium balloons, Kent Couch headed towards the Oregon sky in a lawn chair. The 47-year-old floated along for some nine hours when he jumped to the ground for his landing, the balloons took off again with his camera and gear.
