The rising cost of food is becoming a big concern around the world. Many countries from Ghana to Mexico have started reducing tariffs 1 and taxes on food. And the World Food Program has requested more than $700 million from the international community to help meet basic food needs in developing 2 countries. But even consumers 3 in developed nations are having trouble with the high cost of food. Experts say a few simple tips can help consumers anyplace maximize the money they spend on food.
