The much-anticipated World Expo 2017 will be held in Asta'na, the capital of Kazakhstan from June to September. More than 100 countries and 10 international organizations are expected to participate. Although it's still a few months before the expo kicks off, Chinese representatives have already begun decorating work at the China pavilion. Let's take a sneak peek at what China will showcase to the world.
The China Pavilion will be divided into five different exhibition areas, under the theme of “future energy, the green Silk Road”. It focuses in particular on the achievements China has made in modernizing the country's energy sector, utilizing renewables, protecting the environment and promoting sustainable economic development.
"The theme of the 2017 World Expo is Future Energy, and the Chinese pavilion mainly showcases China's energy transformation and its responsibility to contributing to the development of the world's energy development. The exhibition here will show how the country is working on the new methods to apply traditional energy, as well as the exploration of new energy resources, like solar power and wind," Ma Li, representative of China Pavilion at World Expo 2017, said.
The China pavilion will represent three thematic plots: past, present and future. Different 3D technologies are being installed to showcase the history of energy development and provide options for different futuristic models of energy solutions, including an “artificial sun.”
"Visitors will be visually impressed by the multi-media effects, which is our main way of showcasing this time. There will be many more aspects involved in the exhibition this time," Wang Jianping, manager of Chian Pavilion Construction Project, said.
The World Expo 2017 takes place on the 25th anniversary of China-Kazakhstan diplomatic relations, the Year of Chinese Tourism in Kazakhstan and as the large-scale One Belt, One Road initiative is under implementation. Tens of China's largest energy companies are set to highlight their achievements in alternative energy at the world fair.
